Today brings a new feature to VITY that's been in development for the past few weeks: Negotiations. With Negotiations, we're hoping to open up a whole new level of matchmaking and control for both Advertisers and Social Influencers.
Previously, matchmaking had a bit of a dead end when it came to the process. A Social Influencer would apply for a campaign by entering their terms and rate, and an Advertiser would approve or deny it. Done and done, sure, but also kinda limiting as we've come to discover. Both parties need way more flexibility. For example, an Influencer applies for a campaign that's almost appealing to an Advertiser? Almost wasn't taken into account; sort of an all or nothing scenario. Not ideal.
With Negotiations, that's completely avoidable. Now, when an Influencer applies for a Campaign, the Advertiser has the ability to shoot back a counter offer. Both budget and terms are available for negotiation. Once the Influencer gets the offer, they, too, can send a counter offer, or accept the new offer. And on and on, until an agreement is reached (or not as cases demand).
We hope this update will help matchmaking be as painless as possible.
