Today’s update to VITY is a doozie with a couple longstanding needs finally getting attention. We’ve finally added recommended campaigns/influencers, improved the UI/UX for browsing items, improved on some mobile issues, and a few other pain points getting some loving. 

First, we’ve finally gotten around to adding in the recommendation engine we’ve been planning for so long. A big problem we’re going to face is how best to match up YOU with THEM and this problem’s just going to get worse the longer it goes unattended. Finally, we’re attending to it. So now, on your respective dashboards you’ll start seeing recommendations based on your configured settings. Not that elegant right now, we know, but this is the first step in connecting our users.

Next, we’ve improved the user interface for browsing certain pages and areas. We’re currently rolling it out slowly to make sure everything goes right, but on the Browse pages you’ll start to see a sortable infinite scroll experience to replace the staid pagination model we used to have. It’s still very much a work in progress, but we’ll keep an eye on it and make sure everything’s trucking along without issue. 

We’ve also started getting a bit of spam lately so we’re starting to build some automated tools that’ll handle those at the gate to complement our flagging systems. Like everything else, this, too, is a work in progress so if anyone notices anything, be sure to let us know.
