Disputes Have Landed!!

This is big. Oprah big. Say it like Oprah all sing-song; “This is biiiiIIIIIIGGGGG”! 

VITY now makes it EASY to ensure Social Influencers get paid and/or Advertisers can get their money back if things don’t go to plan. So everyone’s happy. In this post I’m going to walk through the details and lay out how Disputes work on VITY for both Advertisers and Social Influencers. 

Disputes for Advertisers

Let’s play a game of make believe. Let’s make believe you’re an Advertiser who hired a Social Influencer on VITY. Doesn’t matter what you’re expecting, all that matters is you didn’t get what you were expecting. And you’re not happy. “Damn… I hired them to do their thing but haven’t heard anything for over a month…” Something like that. 

So, previously, you’d hit us up at VITY. “Hey! I hired so-and-so and they haven’t done a thing! Any help?!?” And we would. But that’s a sucky system. You shouldn’t have to wait, sending an email into the unknown, hoping something gets resolved. Time is money after all.

Now let’s play the same game as the above, but using the brand spanking new VITY Dispute System. 

“Damn… I hired them to do their thing but haven’t heard anything for over a month…”, you say before clicking on the fancy Dispute button on your campaign page. 

Once there, and since you’ve been waiting longer than the standard 7 days (otherwise known as a week, colloquially), you can go ahead an initiate a Dispute. Once a Dispute is initiated, the Social Influencer you’ve hired has a few days to respond. We give them some time to light the fire, get them to do the job you hired them for, and hopefully make everyone happy. But if they don’t, VITY has you covered there too. 

Basically, the VITY Dispute System works like the below:

  1. An Advertiser can start a dispute 7 days after hiring a Social Influencer
  2. Social Influencer has 7 days contact you about the Dispute
    1. If they don’t contact you, Advertisers are automatically refunded their payment
  3. Once they contact you, ideally, you’ll resolve the Dispute amongst yourselves
  4. If you can’t resolve the Dispute, you can escalate to VITY for Arbitration 

    1. In Arbitration, VITY will review the Dispute and make a decision. (I don’t want to undersell this, but you really do NOT want VITY to get involved since we can only go off the evidence in the system)

In the end, the result should be a system whereby you can resolve issues yourselves but allowing for VITY to step in if needed. 

Disputes for Social Influencers

Can you imagine? You went through ALL the trouble to apply to a campaign, negotiate a reasonable rate, perform your duty, and the Advertiser just won’t release the money. “I did my job!”, you scream from the mountain. 

So you hit the new VITY Dispute System to resolve this. And, just like the above, you’re able to manage the entire process yourself. 

  1. A Social Influencer can start a Dispute 7 days after submitting evidence for their Campaign
  2. An Advertiser has 7 days to contact you about the Dispute
    1. If they don’t contact you, Social Influencers are automatically awarded their payment
  3. Once they contact you, you’ll resolve it yourself
  4. If you can’t resolve the Dispute, you can escalate to VITY for Arbitration 

So, put your minds at ease. With the VITY Dispute System, you can ALWAYS recover your funds if you want.
