The big news for today is the introduction of a new social profile vector: Vine. Vine’s a little different though and it comes with a few caveats so I wanted to take a minute and go into some detail on the “whys” and “hows” so there aren’t any surprises. Or, at least, not as many surprises…

See, Vine’s a little different than Twitter,  Instagram, or Youtube. Vine doesn’t have what’s called, among programmers, an API. I don’t want to get too technical, so suffice it to say it’s important for how VITY works and without one we had to get a little creative in implementation. So, unlike the other social platforms which VITY communicates directly Vine’s a manual process. Yup.  M.A.N.U.A.L.

We’ve tried to make it as painless as possible, and are even going with an honor system of sorts for how the details are managed, but don’t hold back any requests or criticisms. Like most things on VITY, the Vine integration is a work in progress so comments are welcome.
