Campaign Files and Email Confirmation

Today’s big news is the introduction of a highly requested feature AND, I admit, a bit of an annoyance. To help the annoyance go down smoother we’re topping it off with some additional bug fixes and UI updates though.
First, I’m happy to announce a new feature for VITY that we’re calling Campaign Files. Basically, Campaign Files allow advertisers and marketers to send digital assets to social influencers for use in their campaigns. For example, an advertiser could send video assets to a Youtube influencer for use in their videos, or images for an Instagram influencer to use in their creative. We’ve tried to place as few limits as possible on what can be sent, so please use caution when accepting digital assets; best practices and all that.
Next, we now require validation on all email addresses. Previously, when a user signed up for VITY we just let you in. Why bother validating email addresses for our friends and colleagues? So, we just gave you a pass. But now that we’re ramping up for launch, and we ARE launching May 9th, it’s time we had that in place. I hope this isn’t too big an inconvenience for anyone.
Here are all the UI updates that improve the experience:
- Removes social profiles with less than 0 followers from showing in results
- Fixes pagination not working for entry sorts.
- Makes the update password form it’s own page and adjusts header account and sidebar menus accordingly
- Fixes bug with removing social accounts wasn’t updating profile totals
- Makes advertiser profile photo required
- Updates minimum price on campaign creator placeholder
As always, thanks so much to all the beta testers for giving such great insight.
